Review - Make Up Revolution Blush Pallet

Hey everyone!

This week, I thought I'd let you know my thoughts on the 'Make up revolution blush pallet' in 'Hot Spice'.

The exterior of the pallet is sleek and professional. The pallet itself also isn't too big and can be easily put into a make up bag or slotted into a handbag.

The interior of the pallet is as impressive. You open the pallet to 8 different summer shades, all set out nicely with good size circles full of different shades, depending on what mood your in. There is also a big mirror, which is useful if you're travelling around and need to touch up make up on the train, at school, etc.

The pallet is in the shade 'Hot Spice' and there is also another blush pallet, but the shades are slightly more orangy/reddish shades. I personally went for this pallet as I'm really loving nude and light pink shades at the moment, and I like to use blusher over my make up, as I don't contour over my make up.

The only downside to this product is that a blusher brush or applicator is not provided along with the blush. This means you'll have to pick up some brushes from elsewhere or dig them out from the depths of your make up bag or drawers at home!

Overall, I really like the product and I'd give it 4/5 stars!

Let me know in the comments what your favourite pallet is and why!

See you soon!

February Monthly Favourites

Hi everyone!

So this week, I thought I'd talk you through what I've been loving the past month!
My favourites (sorry about the lighting)

1) Make up revolution blush pallet - 'Hot Spice' - Superdrug - £6

I was in need of a cheap blush pallet and this one I came across in Superdrug was perfect. It has a wide range of pink shades, ranging from nudes to a couple of shimmery shades at the end, and is well worth the money. I've been loving this.

2) Soap & Glory 'Hand Food - Boots - £7

I always find hand cream very useful, as my skin is quite sensitive and gets sore quite easily. Whilst  browsing in my local Boots last month, I came across this and was very happy with this purchase. The cream is quite thick (so put it on your hands before you sleep) and really helps your skin (and it smells amazing!)

 3) Strawberry 'Body Mist' - The Body Shop - £8

Now, you may find £8 quite steep for a simple every day fragrance, but I promise you this one is so worth it. It smells of fresh strawberries and the scent stays on you all day. It also lasts a long time; I've used this every day for school, weekends etc and it's lasted me a good couple of months. It is a bit battered though as it's been at the bottom of my bag, and I will need to purchase a new one soon as this has nearly run out!

4) Salted Caramel Yankee Candle (Large Jar) - Clinton Cards - £20

Now this bad boy is amazing and worth every penny! It's that awkward time of the year where we're just coming out of winter and fazing into spring, so although this is more of a wintery warm-by-the-fire scent, I'm still including it! The candle smells so good you could eat it (although eating wax wouldn't be a good idea) and lasts ages!

5) Staedtler triplus fineliner pens (20 pack) - Staples - £20

I'm a sucker for stationary, and when these caught my eye, I had to pick them up. These pens are bright and colourful, and they brighten up coursework, homework and revision any day! They're really easy to write with and although they aren't a beauty favourite, I felt the need to include them, as I've been loving them this month.

6) Pandora Ring - three daisies - Pandora - £50

My Mum got me this for my birthday at the end of January and I've fallen in love with it. Although I cant wear it to school as we aren't allowed jewerlly, I wear it most weekends and just have to be careful not to drop it. Although I have quite fat fingers, I love wearing this!

7) Gone Girl - W.H.Smith - £6.29

Ok, I admit it, I am a bookworm and love a good book. This month I finished reading 'The Book Thief' and have recently started reading this. Although I'm only on chapter 4 (I haven't had much spare time due to revision) I love the plotline so far, I'd recommend this.

8) Hozier CD - HMV - £7.99

After hearing a couple of Hozier's songs on the radio, I had to pick up the album. It's got quite an indie/alternative feel to it, which I personally love, but some of the songs are quite upbeat. He is also Irish (who doesn't love a good Irish singer?) My favourites on the album are 'Jackie and Wilson', 'Sedated', 'Work Song', 'Foreigner's God' and 'Cherry Wine' but they're all great!

I hope you've enjoyed this chatty monthly favourites. Why not leave a comment below on what you've been loving the past month?

Cheerio!
Kat x
